22Muse Opening Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce the opening of 22Muse, a contemporary art gallery located at Oudaan 22 in the heart of Antwerp. This debut exhibition brings together an exceptional roster of artists, each renowned for advancing the boundaries of modern expression. From abstract painting to photography, monumental sculpture to conceptual installations, the carefully curated collection invites visitors to engage with a rich spectrum of voices in contemporary art.

The opening exhibition at 22Muse Gallery proudly brings together an exceptional roster of artists, each offering a distinct perspective that celebrates the diversity of contemporary art. From abstract explorations to powerful photography, monumental sculpture to conceptual installations, this showcase highlights the breadth and depth of creative expression.

Ethel Coppieters presents subtle yet powerful explorations of form and emotion, her works inviting viewers into a world of quiet introspection and refined beauty. Giacomo Piussi complements this with vibrant compositions that uncover unexpected narratives, drawing attention to the playful and thought-provoking.

Harmen van der Tuin offers refined monochromatic abstractions that distill shape and color to their essence, presenting minimalist works that evoke a meditative stillness. Jae Ko captivates with her large-scale paper installations, inspired by nature and the passage of time, transforming ordinary materials into profound visual experiences.

In ceramics, Ahryun Lee redefines the medium with her tactile, color-rich creations that push the boundaries of texture and form, creating bold and sensorial works. Ileana Moro contributes beautifully sober and contemplative paintings, embodying restraint and subtlety that leave a lasting impression.

Richard Phillips brings bold reinterpretations of pop culture, his large-scale works challenging conventional boundaries and engaging viewers with their dynamic commentary. Julian Voss-Andreae merges art with science, creating sculptures inspired by quantum physics that shift and transform based on the viewer’s perspective.

Ronald A. Westerhuis offers monumental stainless steel sculptures that reflect their surroundings, transforming spaces and inviting contemplation on scale and form. Albert Willem pushes boundaries with his engaging explorations of the unexpected, challenging traditional notions of shape and design.

Photography forms a compelling conclusion to this exhibition. Marc Lagrange, an internationally celebrated Belgian photographer, is renowned for his sensual, cinematic portraits and mastery of analog techniques, presenting works that blend sophistication with raw emotion. Vincent Lagrange offers thought-provoking animal and human portraits that blur the boundaries between fine art and portraiture, capturing his subjects with a rare sensitivity that evokes a profound emotional connection.

We warmly invite you to experience this extraordinary showcase of talent, innovation, and artistry at 22Muse. Join us as we celebrate these remarkable artists and their transformative works in this inaugural exhibition.
